Dec. 2009 Fischer Scientific Education Invites Skol to present Green Roof Model at Science Teacher show in Phoenix Skol Manufacturing Company will proudly display the Assemble & Learn Green Roof Model at this year's National Science Teacher's Association 2009 Area show in Phoenix. The liaison with Fischer Scientific Education is largely due to Skol's recent partnership with Eisco Labs, a global distributor of science supplies to schools all over the world.

Oct. 2009 Skol Director Becomes Certified in Green Roof Installation Andrew Shykofsky, Director of Business Development at Skol received notification today that he has successfully passed the Green Roof Professional certification exam offered last month in Chicago. Although the accreditation is relatively new within the industry, the program developed by Green Roofs for Healthy Cities based in Toronto, Ontario is well respected and considered a credible marker for a person's knowledge in the field.

Sept. 2009 Skol Mfg approved for TAA grant After a diligent review and application process, Skol has been approved to receive a Trade Adjustment Assistance grant awarded to manufacturing companies affected by increasing migration of production work to overseas vendors.

Sept. 2009 Skol Debuts Green Roof Products at ASLA National Trade show in Chicago After several successful installs in the Chicago land area of Skol's Ultra Clean Edge green roof perimeter edging, Skol Manufacturing will exhibit at this weekend's ASLA show at McCormick Place. "We've been looking to develop our own products for a while now," said Ray Skol, the company owner and President.

Aug. 2009 Miniature Green Roof now Available to Teach Kids and Educate Clients Ray Skol has had a long fascination with miniatures. His display cabinet is home to several mini but functioning fishing rods. One day while brainstorming about potential new product ideas, the concept of a green roof model was born.

Aug. 2009 In search for new product ideas, Skol is opening its doors to inventors. For more than 20 years, Skol carved itself a niche manufacturing light fixtures for prisons. Making lights functional yet inaccessible to inmates is imperative for prison and civilian safety, a fact recently underscored by the increasing problem of convicts smuggling, hiding and using cell phones in the slammer.
